Ants, WTF!!!

They're going after my glasses. I have my sun glasses sitting on my desk and they are covered in ants. This is a first for me.

If you end up having a problem with the ants and you are looking for a cheap do it yourself fix i recomend that ORTHO Home Defense Max you can buy it about anywhere i sprayed it last year and still have not seen any ants since

I've recently put down a powder to kill the bedbugs, and it kills pretty much every other insect out there...can't remember the name...DIO or something...it kills them in a couple of days after they walk or slither through it...apparently they dehydrate...

Ants love to get on to anything that even has a sweet taste. I left a open dew can up high, and within 2 hours, those danm ants all ready had a track to it. But the ants are actually the least of my problems. Black widows, fiddle backs, mosquitos, and the occausional cockrouch are more of a problem in the shop I work at.

Actually, I'll give one kudos to the ants. They clean up the dead I kill.

Sweet....no. I had greasy hands when I took them off last night though. I wouldn't think they'd be going after grease.

Best thing for ants is an ant eater. I mean, those chemicals are bad for the enviroment. Go old school and get the real thing. 6' long and 150# of real ant and termite solution. Don't half-ass it with some spray or little plast death chambers.

We stopped at a motel in Stockton late one night. My daughter left an empty soda can on the floor of our Isuzu extended cab pickup. The next morning going up the Grapevine the heat buildup from the exhaust drove the ants out from under a towel where they had set up house. It was fun for a few minutes dealing with a screaming 8 year old girl and getting from the middle lane to the shoulder in the middle of the Grapevine hill without getting run over by all those trucks.
Yep. Those little sweet ants are terrible around those parts. Try giving them a Frito. It'll turn black.

A soloution of sugar water and Boric acid powder will attract and kill off your ants quick.

Thats an old school pesticide.

I rid myself of ants by placing ground garlic in a ring around their home. They take it to the queen, queen eats it (along with all the other ants) and it kills them.
Reminds me of vampires ...

Don't forget one of the best bug killers...dish soap...

When the bedbugs were out and about I squirted them with a solution of dish soap mixed with water...killed them almost instantly...and it works on every insect...just mix about 500 ml of water with about two teaspoons of dish soap and shake it up...then put the nozzle on mist and spray them...

Amazing!

I especially like it because you can get mosquitos, black flies, house flies and any other flying or crawling insect...works good in a garage late at night when you just have to crawl under your truck to work on it and they seem to come out of the pores of everything...

A few quick squirts around the underside of the vehicle and you don't have to worry about them landing on your forehead when you've got both hands up trying to tighten or loosen a bolt without having to swat at them with a ratchet in your hands...

This kinda hurts if you forget to drop the ratchet before swatting your forehead...BTDT...
