antifreeze leaking out back of block

I didn't have time to look close the skeeters were hungry. I was replacing the end of the starter wire from the battery when I noticed it. What is back there that could leak maybe a freeze plug or is it something worst? The engine is running really rough at idle. I think that the 2 problems are not related? No idea though. I am not sure if its not a freeze plug then something must be cracked? Any ideas? This truck is driving me up a wall right now...

Could be freeze plugs...could be hose drippings...could be a cracked head so check oil for milky fluids.

Usually external fluids means external source though...around the head/block might be leaking too...piston 4 and coolant passages are not really close to block wall but if you've had an overheat recently it might have cracked the block somewhere.

Rough idle could mean a number of things and I think I read through your post on hunting that down. You can also check for steam coming from tailpipe...might indicate internal coolant leak getting into combustion...produces a white steam...usually.

Try the glove test on rad...search on it if not familiar...not complicated and may tell you what you need to know..

I found the problem it was the intake gasket was leaking.Thanks for some ideas though.
