What kind of antenna will i need to hook up to this to receive some signals?, will a shorty be good enough? i've never messed with scanners or cb's.

would something like this be good enough?

the antenna in the link won't let you hear all the frequencies your scanner covers, only the 800 MHz band. in the scanner link, below it there is a low profile antenna listed for $35. i'd go with something like that so you can receive all the frequencies from the scanner.

I'm tryin to go with something that i won't have to mount on the truck, if i have to I want to just use the stock antenna location, would there be a way to run the scanner and fm radio off of 1 antenna? i don't use fm radio very much but would like the option, or if there's a compact sort of antenna for inside the truck, sorry have some peeps around my neighborhood that like to steal things(damn people) would like to keep it as clean as possible.
