Another Problem on my 98 B4000 4x4

So I just got the vacuum leak sorted out only to discover another problem. When you turn on the vent or heat, (not AC or max AC) the compressor keeps turning on and off, any idea what this is and how to fix it?

it it is on defrost the compressoer should come on to help dehumidify the air not sure if thats what you mean like with heat or vent

Defrost runs off the a/c compressor.

if you have defrost on, your ac compressor will kick on and off. it does this so it can defrost your window as quick as possible. try putting it on feet or face and see what happens

Putting it on any setting turns on the compressor currently.
