I'm living in Toronto, an IT guy just finishing up an educational upgrade to be an Electrical Engineer specializing in IC design.

I just bought a near-mint 2000 Ranger XLT Supercab 4x2 with the Sport package and just about every option on it. ~125000km and it had obviously been babied. Sweet little green truck which I'm looking forward to owning for a good long while. I won't be doing anything crazy to it, but it will get a selected set of upgrades over the next few years to improve performance and utility. Its mostly my daily driver but will also be seeing light off-road and general fun use.

The only short-term upgrades I'll be doing are a tonneau cover and possibly a set of more dirt-friendly tires.

welcome to trs.. dam clean truck congrats.

Thanks for the welcome.

The truck was a real lucky find, I was looking for a real cheap one, but checked a used dealer that normally carries higher-end stuff only just because the family's had good luck with that dealer before. And they had this little gem sitting in the back of the lot. They'd only kept it because it was so unusually clean and low-mileage for a 2000, the dealer normally only deals with 1-5 year old vehicles. Couple hours later I was signing the papers for it.

Welcome to TRS...very nice colour...and it looks really good...

Did you have a look at the frame for rust??? Not that you should worry too much if it was babied...but worth having a look at and maybe plan some preventative maintenance...always pays off in the long run...

Oh, and if you have some extra cash you might consider rust proofing the body regularly...

The frame's good on rust, it's been kept up and is undercoated. The bumpers were shot (it's a Northern Ontario-sourced truck, so salt was getting up there in the winter) but the dealer had replaced them. And yeah, it will get regular undercoat treatments since I'm planning on keeping it long-term.
