i'm tryin to put a 93 5.0l into my 85 b2 4x4. i wanted to use those summit long tubes b/c they are only 100bucks, does anyone know if they will fit?

As far as I know , Summit doesn't offer Ranger/BroncoII headers for a V8. Your best bet is Hedmans 89500 or 88400 headers.

Biggest problem of the V-8 swap is the issues with everything fitting. If you have the time/skills/equipment anything can fit. I used the Headmans from JEGS and haven't had any complaints. You might try the James Duff website and kind of compare the demensions of their headers to the ones from SUMMIT

If i remember correctly, summit offers the advance adapters headers, those might be the ones your talking about ?

Those are Fox body Mustang headers, not Ranger headers. The only Mustang headers that DO fit (depending of course on what combination you're using) are the 65-66 Shelby type Tri-Y's) If the headers you've linked to here fit, we need proof.

basicly, i just wanted a set of longtubes that will fit without too much hassle for around 300 bucks if possible. arn't the tri-y headers shorties? its a 93 foxbody v8 going into an 85 b2 4x4. the only ones i can find are those james duff ones, i'll get them if i have to, just wondering if theres sumthing eles

Tri-Y's aren't shortys, they're as long as long tubes, but run four cylinders into two, then the two into one. If there's a restriction, they've got me fooled. Had em in mine with the 331-sixpack motor (400+hp) Top speed was 140 mph, 1/4 mile was 13.7 @ 102. That's in a 3800 lb 89 supercab.

You can find them in any of the Classic Stang and Ford catalogs, try Mustangs Unlimited for one. They're on ebaymotors all the time too. Do a search on "Ford Headers" and scroll thru, you'll find a set or two nearly everyday. These are the Tri-Y's built for the 65-66 Shelby Mustangs.

the long tube headers you posted for 100 dollars DO work... BUT, you have to cut your frame alittle and mod your steering shaft alittle bit... i'll see if i can get to my buddys house and get pics of his.. thats what he did and thats what i'm doing

What's the size of the primary tubes? No fit problems with any of the trany's? They sure ought to fit one of the late, '98' and newer with no problems?

I would never cut the frame to fit headers. There are enough options for a 302 that are bolt on. If you want to customize, do it to the headers. I saw a kid notch the frame on a Ranger for headers before. It had a nice crack before the end of that summer.

simple fix to that... box the frame around where you had to cut it...
