Another Center Console Build

Not finished the upgrade yet . . . may try and do it this weekend if not working on a new one-off fab that has never been done on a US Ranger . . .

sounds interesting :icon_bounceblue:

My current console has been de-leathered . . . brown leather is off and I began prepping the black leather that is being recycled from an old office chair. Leather is still in good condition and I saw no use to throw it away.

Sorry no pics tonight, but I will try to get some this weekend.

Other project is still in the design stages as I plan the fabrication.

Damn man. You are busier than a 1 legged man at a ass kicking contest.

hahahaha - I wish, I have so much to do but have really been unmotivated lately, mainly because of this insane Texas heat!

I will be doing more with the interior as soon as I can get some SEM plastic coating in black. But hopefully by the end of the weekend the leather will be attached to the console frame. Still considering if I should embroider my custom logo into the console lid leather.

Stay Tuned for updates . . .

QUICK UPDATE:

Got all the brown leather off and began stretching the black recycled leather into place. Here are a few pics to tease you.

I got some more pieces to cut to size, sew some together and a little bit of embroidery with a new logo. Should be a busy day for me . . .

There she is . . . I am going to get new aluminum pieces cut that are more precise than mine that were cut with a jigsaw and smoothed with angle die grinder.
Also going to do a new shifter boot in leather, this one is vinyl. :icon_thumby:

Looks bad ass. Now you got me thinking about building my own once I do my seat swap. I may try to figure out a way to have a 10" sub built into it.

Thanks Hoosier :icon_thumby:

Look at my write up in the tech library about center console build with a sub.

Thanks Chris - that is my personal logo I designed and will be carried throughout the truck such as external decals and the R in my center caps.

Looked at it. I am going to be doing a solo barix plus I have a extended cab. Still not sure if I want to dive into it yet or not.

Looks great, Hazmat!

So, I'm going to build my next center console. When I bought your first enclosure with the 10" rear-facing sub, it inspired me. Now, I upgraded to a 12" in a different enclosure, and was wanting storage space in the console. (Also, with the 3" body lift, it wasn't an exact fit so made my own shifter around it.)

Just wanted to say thanks again, and I may hit you up for tips!

Also, if you know anyone that wants to buy your old enclosure, it's available for sale. :-)

How's the wifey?

Pete
