Another Center Console Build

Amazing skills man! I don't think i could ever get leather to stretch like that and look that flawless! the HR logo is what really sets that thing off. In the last picture where the back of the lid meets the console, is that a gap or is that just due to the inside not being finished?

Thanks Chris

Yeah there is a gap at the back, but I am going to put some polished aluminum pieces in those openings. The lid goes flat at the top and does not follow the curve of the side to the back - that is where the dress up piece is going.

Thanks, next time stop by and have a beer!

Thanks RSH and Sighman - I will let you know the next time we are coming out or if we have a meet in Tyler (Rangers of Texas).

Would you happen to know the dimensions for the shifter boot?

No I do not. The height of the console and the opening will determine the size of the boot. Since this is entirely custom, I am sure the dimensions would not work in just any console.

Thanks for looking though . . . :icon_thumby:

Thanks for the help, its a sweet console :icon_thumby: I just want a leather shift boot.

Hey Colin - I would take measurements of your stock rubber shift boot and then add 1" to each end and the width of each side panel. This would give you enough material to sew the panels together and to secure it at the console/cup holder at the floor and at the shift knob.
Mine is actually about 2" short to be able to secure it under the shift knob like I wanted to.

Thanks for the advice. :icon_thumby:

Loved the last one you made! Can't wait to see this one done. If it was black leather i'd be making a trip to texas to jack this thing out of your garage:D

UPDATE:

Black leather has been obtained along with a Rotty, Doberman, Bull Mastiff, and a pissed off Chihuahua. Laser security and 24 hr monitored cameras in garage . . . :icon_rofl::thefinger::beer:

Wait, all that and you didn't get the Auto Jacker2000? It's a chair that you sit in and....

hahahaha - nah don't need that!
