About a week ago my red shifter indicator stopped moving when I shifted. Auto on the tree. It just stays all the way over to the right side of the indicator window. Now this week the shifter has been acting weird. When I shift into park it is slipping into reverse or it wont start until I shift out and back into park with more force. Where do I start? Thanks.

i dont think the indicator has anything to do with the slipping in reverse. well maybe your shift linkage is out of whack?

I guess I'll pull apart the column and see what I see...

Nothing yet. The shift mechanism seems really sloppy but other than that I don't see anything that looks broken or loose. I have to slam the shifter up to get it to go into park and also restart after turning the truck off. Any ideas? Thanks.
