ok so i bought an alpine mrp m500 mono block amp to power my type e 10, it worked great for a day and then it stopped. it still lights up but whenever the bass hits the blue light dims. i thought it was my battery turns out my battery was only at 58% so i hooked the charger up and got it to 100 so i tried my amp again and same thing happend, i cant find anything online on what is causing it nor does it say in the manual. i really need to get this working cause im gonna compete in an ameture sub contest in a few days, i know i wont win it is so i can test the decibles for free haha

It's nothing your gunna be able to fix, odds are is an internal problem, try to swap it out where you bought it at.

i got it off ebay. if i may ask do u even know what it is i can solder abd stuff like that ive done it before but i gotta find out what it is first.

Just out of curiosity what did you get it for? I got out bid on one.

To be honest without a diagram of the amp I couldn't tell you where the best place to check for a fault would be. I would call alpine tech and see what they say. They. Bent over backwards to help me with some head unit problems I had and walked me through a year down on an old unit

Sounds like a low voltage issue. Check your ground before you panic. Amp in my Cherokee did the same thing and relocating and sanding where I had the ground wire screwed into the body solved it. Luckily, the amp I had at the time had multiple LED's for power, fault, and low voltage.

wr i got it for 123.47 shipped, it was a buy it now not one u bid on. could my problem be that i dont have connectors on my wires. the terminals are to small so i split the wire in half and only put half of the wire in and the rest is just hanging out, maybe that would cause low voltage?

Do you have a REALLY good ground wire? Mine is made from a battery cable.

got it to work, i went and got some connectors and instaled them and it works now. and shane yea i do i am using a 0 gauge amp wiring kit from street wires, and i relocated my ground.
