i was messing with my system yesterday and for some reason both my rockford and MTX amp is not turning on... i have 12 volts at the remote wire and B+ terminals but the weird thing is i am also getting 12 volts on the ground terminal on the amps???? any ideas why this is happening?

Where are you measuring the voltage for the ground? In other words, where are you putting the leads of the multimeter?

i was just on a good chassis ground while i was checking for voltage at the amp terminals i hit all three terminals with the meter and had 12 volts at all three

so thats why with the B+ and remote wires hooked up i get voltage at the negative terminal on the amps?????

take the voltmeter. and ground the test lead to the amp ground, then check for power. your ground the test lead to the chassis. so yes it will pick up volts. but if the amp doesnt have a ground, then it wont complete the circuit.

no lights at all.... and thanks i will go check. and also check my grounds better
