Just ordered (5) boxes of (20) .44 mags (Hornady) from Cabelels yesterday with no problem. They do have a limit per day but said they should be here on the 30th. Price didn't seem jacked up at all, $20.99 per box.

The craziness is wearing down but still a pain to find stuff unless you go everyday. I'll like it when I can walk into academy and pick up whatever I want again.

Was able to get 5 boxes of .223 at Cabelas for 7 bucks a box, and that was the limit. Dicks Sporting Goods has 5.56 for 10 bucks a box with no limit. Can't find any 9MM though.

It seems the worst is over around here.

I was at Sheels last night, the pistol cases were mostly full, the AR racks were about 3/4 full and they had baskets and racks full of any kind of magazine you could want. Mostly 30 and 60 rd AR mags.`Ammo was still pretty thin although they did have some .45ACP finally.

Our local dicks sporting had 3 50 rd packs of .22lr for $10 each and a crap ton of .223

i can buy ammo now but its not what i would call cheap. american eagle 223 is 70 buck for a box of 100...they were 35.99 2 years ago

Walmart has ammo!

Saw 100 round packs of Winchester 45 ACP and 50 round packs of 40. Also saw a Bushmaster for $982. But no .22 ammo. Things are getting back to normal.

i think the panic is wearing off, hopefully it'll be going back to normal soon. i've been able to find any type of ammo you could think of by going to gun shows, even during the panic. well, with the exception of bulk .22 LR. my local walmart and dicks are completely barren though. with the exception of 20 gauge, some 12 and bb's/pellets lol.

i loved watching obummers news conference after the extended background check got shot down. he was being all pissy and mad about it.

and to get off topic, what has really made me angry over this whole thing is the way they're parading all these Newtown victims parents around. having them on the news pleading for more laws. i just wanna shake somebody

Shelves are still empty down here in Louisiana.....

no need for ammo anyway since I, too, lost my weap.....errrr....rifles in a boating accident during hurricane Katrina.....

Avalanches killed some people, we have to ban them. That bomb killed some people, we have to ban pressure cookers. Spoons make people fat, we have to ban spoons. People drown in pools, we have to ban pools. People die in car crashes, we have to ban cars. While there at it, they should just ban everything!

Masta_................you forgot about banning STUPIDITY...............

That would put 99% of Politicians in the unemployment line.................but.....we'd have plenty of ammo again

Doorgunner, that's crazy to hear! I thought I was the only one who had a tragic incident involving them! I lost mine in a tragic concrete pouring accident... Can't remember where though.
