Am I wasting my time.....

Figured I might as well do something with it. I paid 1600 for it a few months ago and drove it for a month and a half before it broke down on me. Technically I've owned it since 2007 though lol. In my eyes, I'm only in 600 on it since I'm still using the tires that were on it brand new on my S10, and the rims as well. Considering I sold it for 900 a couple months before I bought it back I'm doing pretty good.

I'm sticking with the same thread, I haven't done much noteworthy honestly. I installed my lift and then took it out to strip down the frame and ran out of money so now I can barely afford the new mounts, springs, etc.

Mine is going to be pre-runner themed, but it will never see the desert.

I wouldn't mind some fast paced field action, but dirt and rock is alot less forgiving than sand.

We just raced in Nevada and there were more rocks than you can imagine, the desert is not forgiving

I was referring more towards the small fields I have around here and rolling hills, vs a flat desert or dunes.

I could end up in the trees, or rolling end over end out here. You wont believe how far some of these hills go.

haha my friend flipped his truck taking a corner at 65mph around a feild. almost went in this big canal.

he just took it to mexico and i swear it looks better than before he wrecked it.

be careful mann :icon_thumby:

No worries. My truck will probably turn into a mud-slut/mall-crawler bastard child.

Anyways my threadjack of the night is over.

To the OP: Do what you want man. That 2.3 will be fine with the right gears and you can always upgrade to a five point ohhhhhhhh.

haha im actually becoming quite fond of the good reliable old 2.3l. hasnt done me wrong yet.

this is my 2.3 prerunner style RBV

Heavyfire, I like your truck a lot!! That's about what I'd like to do. Pre Runner front bumper and a not too crazy front suspension that will fit under stock fenders.

Which one do you have?

Thanks to everyone.

a 2.3 was enough for me.
