To all and any who say search, wrong place, or any other bull kiss my nards, To every body else good evening to you. found a one owner 84 in awesome condition, partially due to the negative reaction to my pro comp heads, I've up graded to Dart Pro 1 195s, still 347 Lunati cam 218/228 ,536 lift compression 9.6 still quick fuel 650 {still best out of the box carb ever in 30 yrs could not improve on out of the box tuning} air gap matched to heads all msd. narrowed 8.8 w 315s back 245s front what have I missed? the old set up dynoed 305 to the wheels did not realize until later it was only 3/4 throttle, so if the darts make more power I'll just have tell by the but dyno or if I cant pull every Mustang & Camaro I come across I'll know some things off, OK looking at speck aluminum pressure plate & fly wheel. has any one tried one? stage 2 890.00 complete kit claims over 10 hp more to the wheels, the comp cam computer with similar comp cam says 470 hp I'd piss my self if that were true:icon_rofl:, OK question time is the clutch worth it? would a stage one get the job done rated to 495 tq vs 567 stage 2, I know bigger cam! been there didn't like it, no fun to drive

What you will get is a boost in how fast the engine revs up, a shot of nitrous is cheaper and more than 10hp, also is it a daliy driver or a weeked shit kicker, shit kicker ok, dd may not last long enough, to make you happy. but it comes down to what you want

well it is a couple hundred bucks more then a similar quality set up. as far as NO2 I'm already pushing the block & trans{T5z} limits, when they say a block is good for 500hpis that or whp or at the crank, I Say crank. I already broke a block with 400? hp. SBF & NO2 with a stock block not a real good idea. the lightened rotating mass is supposed to be easier on every thing

Crank, nobody cares about wheel hp for stuff like that because gearing and tire DIA play a huge role in that measurement

Aluminum flywheels are usually recommended in road race applications and the steel/flywheel for street and drag race.

EHP vs WHP

WHP is all that matters. it is what makes you move & what decides how fast you'll be moving. if any measurement would be irrelevant it would be crank horse power. its a number you use to try to figure out your wheel horse power by subtracting transmission & differential losses & it is considerable. and gearing has no effect on hp. say you dyno in 1st gear it should show more power, but it don't. it only reves up faster ,it don't cover the ground, its speed x distance x time x weight, different gears larger tires wont fool the dyno big tires will eat HP as will dana 60 diffs and stacked transfer cases, but at the end of the day all that really matters is how much HP makes it to the ground

lighter rotating mass

yes that is what I've read, lighter road racing, heavier drag racing. that's why I was asking, in such a light truck with so much power would it be more fun to rev quicker or launch harder its 95% street truck with 80% of confrontations starting from a roll, and mostly just a play thing, by myself back road road racing! you can get any where from 50lbs down to25lbs or less. I guess I'm going to try it I'll give a full report, but it will be a while. I have all the parts but the elves have yet to show up
