alternator ????

i did a v8 swap years ago to my 83(2.3) ranger.well the ranger is long gone so i put the 302 in my 89 B2. its all in,runnin and driving. well i had used the 2.3 alt and regulator with the 302 in the ranger but now in the B2 i need to install a voltage regulator. so my question is, is there a alternator avaible with the same mounting(as the 2.3) but with a built in regulator.

I went with a Mustang Accessory drives and mounted the alt on the other side with a 3g alt. Worked great with much more power and no more dim headlights. Easy to install, easy peasy!!!

I can't see where the "pivot" bolt is at from your photo. It looks to me like a Fox body alternator will do the trick though. The 3G that Diggerauditor mentions would work also. However, the collar is not threaded on the 3G's and it is on the Fox body. That can easily be fixed with a longer bolt and a nut though. Just something to be aware of.

Looks like the same FEAD that mine has, which is from a marque or crown Vic. The 65amp one that I'm using had a built in one and the 100 doesn't, that is from all of the schematics that read when I was getting ready to wire mine up. I don't have dim lights anymore and love it plus they are a bit brighter then my old 40amp on my old 2.8 had.
