Hey guys changing from a stock alternator to a singer brand, the S terminal loop on the back of the stock alternator is from the plug back to the alternator. I have a position for that wire on the new alternator but where does that wire come from because there's only two wires in the harness a big white and yellow wire which I'm assuming is the field and the green one with the red stripe which is the indicator light the charging light, do I only need to worry about those two wires and not concern myself with the S terminal any longer.

pictures would help explain this a lot better. I think I know what you mean but its hard telling without pictures. have you tried hooking it up and testing it with a volt meter? It's just the alternator so its not going to harm anything if a wire wasn't hooked up or not. I would just hook it up and check the battery and see what its charging at.
