Does anyone have a diagram telling where the wires go on the alternator for a mid 80's b2000. On the back of the alternator there is a lug. A spot for one wire to go. Then there is a wire terminal spade that goes straight up and down and just next to it, there's one that goes side to side. What do these connectors do?

There was a charging problem with the alternator which burnt up the wires.

I didn't search real hard, but it should be easy enough to figure out.
Ford did things a certain way, so if it's the classic external voltage regulator type, those should be easy to figure out.

Sorry, this is more direct: http://fordfuelinjection.com/?p=63
