Ok I got it, I was missing a 15a fuze in the power box, this cover was mislabeled? I put a fuse in the one marked engine comp. LP. And it started charging,

Where did you hear that? I started my truck, pulled the battery out, put it in my other truck, started that one, pulled the battery back out, and put it back in the 1st truck! (All because I didnt want to have to reset the all the BS in the radio on the 1st truck.)
I've done this before too.
If it dies,when you pull the negative you have a problem. It means that the alt is not charging.
You can pull the neg and put a light tester between it and the post to test for a draw too.

You sure it was the Engine Comp LP and not the Alternator Field that was missing? That would make a lot more sense.

This took care of my choking out troubles also, I thought it was the FPR but I had charged the battery at the same time, all I can say about going from a 2.9 to a 4.0 is ......WHY THE HELL DID I WAIT SO FREAKING LONG!!!!!!!

snoranger all I can think of is this cover is from some other vehicle, because yes, I had a fuse in the alt field spot,

wow..that sounds extremely cocky when I say it like that... oh well, I didn't invite the 4.0 swap, but I'm sure glad I did it!
I honestly think I would have sold my b2 by now if it still had the 2.9 in it.
