"Exploder 8.8 outback"???
Whatchu talking about Willis????

Hey! Wait a minute, this is my build thread not some JEEP HEAP. Tell Skipper to get his own JEEP HEAP build thread!
We got to work going to pick up a burn-up pig at Copperheads into the appt book, probably next week or 2! I'll get Copperhead's number when ya get here!

that is what i call clearance......:icon_thumby::icon_thumby:

hopefully you 2 can get the D44 in by the 10th of Dec......

btw, they stock the u-joints in this town......:icon_rofl::icon_rofl:

l8r, John

Well just spent about 4 hours trying to get a ujoint out! Had it soaking for 2 days in PB Blaster. Did the BFH and a punch, a couple of sockets and the big bench vice and a cheater bar, bent the vice handle! Even heated the ears up with MAP gas hoping it would pop the rust loose. Barring cutting it out with the dremel, then drilling the caps out, Joker ain't coing out with what I got, called Fred's in Clarksville and I'll take it by tomorrow. I guess my old cheap ass gotta pay $15 to get er out. Be glad when I get retired to Alabama, and have multiple welders, tubing bender, 20 or 50 ton press don't remember which one the ole man's got. ANd I'll have all the time I need to build whatever the hell I can dream up!!

You Pu$$y!!! I could have got it out:thefinger:

Well, after talking with Railman (that bastard scored a f350 or 250 powrstroke for $3500), I took my ass back out to the shop. Broke out the dremel, wouldn't go deep enough. Dug out the 4 1/2" grinder and cut that sucker out. New one pressed in with the vice and took er down the road. Still got a vibration but barely. I'll rotate the driveshaft 180 tomorrow and see if that helps, if not I'll pick up 2 house clamps put em around there and rotate em a little at a time till it comes out. Then either leave em or tack weld a wheel weight in their place.
Nope didn't take any pics.

Ya whatever. :annoyed:
We won't discuss here why I had to fight with it in the first place. Wouldn't want to infringe on your reputation! :icon_rofl: :icon_rofl: :icon_rofl: :icon_rofl:

It was your pu$$y a$$ welder that caused it to break in the first place :icon_rofl: Yeah, it was me that snapped the flange, but I'd rather it be me near the shop than you down the road in the middle of nowhere :icon_thumby:

OHHH, you brought it up! Nothing wrong with that welder and you know it! SOMEONE put .23 gas shielding wire in the welder with no gas shielding??? :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:
And we won't go into Battery drain plugs!! :icon_confused: :icon_surprised:

Loads of parts inventory going in the classifieds tomorrow evening!! With PICS!
Gears
install kits (minor stuff used already)
Explorer consoles
Explorer visors
And some other stuff
Got to recoup some dough!!!

Who forgot where they put the adapter for the roll of wire :icon_confused: Who said and I quote," Ahh, just leave it in there..." :icon_rofl: :icon_rofl: :icon_rofl: :thefinger: :icon_thumby:

Well, if you haven't worked with POR 15, we found out today even though that stuff is pretty thick, it goes a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong way!! :icon_surprised: We ended up coating a complete axle, and an equivalent to an entire frame of a ranger :icon_surprised: But at about $46 a Quart, definitely don't want to waste this stuff, and it can't be put back into the container once it's removed from it...

I just read through this whole thread... took me a dog gone hour and a half to do so. I didn't see a whole lotta pictures there, buckwheat. Mostly yabberin' on about your travellins and whatnot. :thefinger:

At any rate, I'm quite liking reading this build, let's see that dadgum D44 in there already, only been reading about it for a dang hour now. :icon_rofl:

Yep, and the little baby has been whining about it even longer :icon_rofl: :icon_rofl:
