Alberta Canada lift laws?

i may end up running 37x14.5x15 toyo M/T... yes i finally found some! Gonna pay out the ass for those tires though, like $1300, but i spent the last couple hours looking for em haha.

Interesting....thats what I'm running, and thats what I paid for them, granted they still had lil nipples on the tread.

Most time's in alberta just about anything will slide past, RCMP, Royal canadian mouse patrol let most stuff pass. they are to busy checking out the donut shops. But the sheriff's department are the sticky buggers.

as long as your tires are not sticking out to far, windows are not tinted to dark on the driver and passenger side windows, you should be okay. reciever hitch not more the 10 inches past your back bumper, installed while not in use.

there are more lifted trucks sitting in the dealers lots then cars on the road. alberta is truck country.

yeah those sheriffs are the good ones..... they seem to be all over the alberta highways now. and they will stop you for anything. i got pulled over because he couldnt read my tags and once a sheriff going down the other side of the road noticed i didnt have a seatbelt on. they have good eyes.
but in regards to lift laws i wouldnt worry. just dont drive like a jackass and wear your seatbelt apparently alberta is crackin down on that

hahahaha, they are getting pretty bad about seatbelts down here too. so i've been getting in a better habit of putting it on :icon_rofl::icon_rofl: after i see the cop

FYI... If you plan on registering and insuring your truck in Alberta, it'll need to pass an MVI (motor vehicle inspection). If anything is booty fabbed on it, it'll fail and you won't get coverage until it's fixed properly.

Here's a link to the BC MV regs if it'll help, I'm sure Alberta has similar ones.

booty fabbed? even a bumper? i doubt i'll be registering or insuring anytime soon cause i don't even have a passport, thinks for the heads up though:icon_thumby:

OH Walhstrom1... how does your truck do with those tires and gears? cause i'm putting 4.56's in my truck, and i've got the 4.0L too but its got an automatic instead.

Well, it doesn't tow as well as when I had 35's, but I kind of like it better in town. The taller tires stretch the power band a lil so I don't have to grab gears as quick, but not so much to make it lag/slow. It does well offroad, and I can still hang with a bone stock 4.0L 5 speed regular cab on 235/75's and 3.73's.

thanks, i guess i better go with 35's then. i end up having something in my bed most of the time since i'm still moving all the time.
