Airbag Recall 2004-6 Rangers included

I just read an article on my local news that the Takata recall has been expanded to include vehicles back to 2002.

2004-2006 Rangers are on the list.

Check it out and if you're truck is on there, get it taken care of. No need for airbag shrapnel flying at you!

The recall actually has all Rangers from 04 to 11 on it.

I already had the passenger side replaced on my 06 but they said the driver side won't be available until late this year.

Where are you finding info that it is all 04-11? My one sone has a 2009 and I want to make sure he gets on the recall. Thanks

You can Google Ford Ranger air bag recall. One of my buddy's had his airbag in his 2010 Ranger explode while parked overnight in the garage. It just went boom. Pretty scary!!!! He said it was the inflator that let go!! He had the back window damaged from metal debris.

If concerned, anyone can give the stealership the vin number and request a recall check. That's how we learned the brake switch on our master was never updated...thing was leaking as well when we took it in for the service.

Sorry for the very late reply, the 04 to 11 recall is all over Google, all of them are for the passenger airbag and 04 to 06 are driver as well
