As you may already know, I was in a wreck a couple weeks ago and my airbags deployed.
Well the Ranger is once again drivable even though it still has some front end damage. I have the parts ordered to make it sexy again and they should be here within a week.
My questions are these. My father and I removed the airbag in the steering wheel and the passenger side. Now I have these huge holes in my interior where they used to be. Would it be cheaper to buy new bags even though they won't be able to go off or does someone sell some kind of fake "cover" for this?
And obviously, my airbag light is on. It's showing a code 19, which I've done some research on it and most people say it's because my RCM Crash Data is full. The truck knows that it's been in a wreck and the airbags deployed. Most people are saying that the way to get it to go away is to replace the RCM. Is this correct? And if so, is it expensive?
