My airbag lite is on on my 2000 ranger. When you first turn on the key or stat it up it goes tru a series of flashes. 3-2 Twice Which i am thinking would read as 32. Then it just stays on . Im not having much luck finding out what it means. Is any body familar with this problem. Or know what the codes are?

Check to see if your horn blows the flash code is for the drivers airbag circuit resistance high which means you probably got a bad clock spring

Fixed one thing got another.

I put a new clockspring in it was only $44 not bad consedering every thing I had seen for prices. Now I have a code 27 which seems to be from what I have been reading is a passenger light. Which probably is the problem because my light is out.Guess i will just have to change that to.

Yep, code 27 is your passenger light bulb. Go to radioshack pick up part # 272-334, it's a green 12V bulb and comes in a pack of 2. Solder it in place of your factory yellow bulb and that should solve your problem.

You HAVE to solder it in? it doesn't just screw in?

Lame.

I picked up that bulb today. Now how do i get the cover off so i can do the work? Can you run me through that or give me some photos?

Well. That was a "semi-easy" fix. I only broke 2 things!

Broke the little "T" twist screw that holds down the cup holder. And one of the little plastic tabs in the Airbag Key Module. It was easy once we (Dad and I) got the whole console thing out. Soldering went easy as can be. IF I knew previously how to take out the cup holder, It would be a 5 for difficulty on a scale of 1-10
