Alright i just purchaced a FAZE AFR Gauge for my 95 Ranger XLT 3.0
and i was wondering if anyone else has put one in their truck, because i have no idea how to wire it. The "detailed instructions" are not helping. anyone got a wiring diagram for the 95 RANGER. Or tell me were to find one PLEASE!!
:D

you should have 3 wires out of the back of the gauge, one for power, one for ground, one for signal. the first two should be self explanatory. the last one needs to be hooked to a signal wire on one of your pre-cat O2 sensors. according to my crappy chiltons wiring diagrams, the grey with a light blue stripe or red with a light green stripe will work.

as a side note, those cheapie A/F gauges arent worth much other then the pretty lights they provide. the stock narrow band O2 sensors switch on and off too fast to provide any useful information. the "real deal" uses a wideband o2 sensor to give you an accurate reading of your A/F mixture...but they also cost a lot more.

you would need a wideband sensor and gauge to go with it. most kits run around $400...not really worth it unless your trying to tune a highly modified engine.

are you trying to gauge you mileage while driving with it? because if so get a vacuum gauge and try to keep your vacuum at optimum levels

if you want to put it in, go ahead. it wont hurt anything, and it would be fun to look at.

i just meant it wont serve any functional purpose. eg: if you hoped to use it to tune your motor or diagnose a possible problem, it wont work.
