Automatic
New ac compressor with new clutch on it
I turn the ac on and the motor bogs a little and the voltage drops to the point if I'm stopped I think it's gonna sputter and die
2000 3.0 flex (never had cornahol in it) 230,000+ been driving it for 20 yrs
2 whl drive xlt extended cab stepside
We put it on the big cart at the shop and did the pag oil and refrigerant
Blows cold air just dont know why the ac is dragging the motor down so hard
Any ideas on this?

Pressures? On the ac lines? I hav no idea
It started acting funny so I bought a new ac unit and it's still doing it
Electrical load doesn't matter
Heat or regular fan it doesn't hav any problems just when I'm using the ac
Didn't know if ther was a relay I missed or a odd fuse possibly...

did you change the filter/orifice tube?

Does the engine idle increase when the A/C is turned on? If it isn't, that may be your problem.

It probably wouldn't hurt to look at your IAC valve to make sure it isn't dirty or sticking. They can get clogged up over time.
