AHHHH I hate the M5OD-R1!! But I need one.

I need one of these crap jobs, anyone got one hanging around? I phoned the local yard, and they won't let me pull my own, *cough* bull$#it *cough* and the one they have on the rack has 160 K on it and they want $750.00 + Tax!!!! I've searched the forum and saw one with 15 K on it go for $200. Day late and a dollar short. If anyone has one with low miles and is willing to part with it, send me a PM please! It's for a 1994 4.0 4X4, just looking for a fix to keep me going, $750 I can buy a rebuild off of eBay for that, hell I can buy a whole Ranger for that! Maybe it's time I seriously consider the 5.0 NV3550 with the Rubicon NP235OR swap instead oh well keep patching and maybe buy that Super Duty Harley in the fall. Decisions decisions. Any and all help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance, oh and I'm located in Rolla ND Thanks again

They are going for more and more these days and getting harder to find. It was the same price in my area for the same mileage, or spend $1600 on a rebuilt one. I had one shipped up to me from Ohio that works great. It was $450 shipped.

maybe you've had better luck with that, but I just did a search in the midwest and southwest and came up with nothing but clowns asking $200 for a rebuildable core or $250 for transmissions with no reverse or slips out of gear.

I need one too.

as long as you keep fluid in them they're great trannies..they tend to leak, you gotta fix that.

My M5OD is just over the 290,000 mark but is making noise from the front bearing.



I got a T5 to put in it, but just haven't had the time on the weekend yet.

Three weeks ago I had four of them for the 4.0 4x4 all put back together and setting around. Sold my last one a week ago. I can't seem to hold on to them.

too bad you're not closer...you could buy the package and I'd buy the trans off of you.

I don't know what it would cost to ship, but most of the folks selling them on ebay charge $150 and ship via truck freight.

Yeah I don't know what it would cost to ship... and I'm not planning any trips to Oklahoma anytime soon. The worst part is, the guy said he'd sell me the transfercase for $70 if whoever bought it didn't need it... but that was a month ago. I might have to ask him again...
