My credo
If it aint broke, give it more gas!
Due to necessity , I am replacing the top end of my 98 ranger's 4.0. Found populated heads at Kings Cylinder Heads. They say all the right things, beefed up, heavy duty, etc. Does anybody have any experience with these folks? I am also replacing lifters, pushrods, water pump and the fuel injectors while Im in there . Anything else I should look at while I am in the engine that far? Timing gear and chains maybe? It has 275,000 miles on it. Had the heads off two years ago and still had a good crosshatch pattern in the cylinder walls so I dont think the bottom end needs any work. It burns no oil and has been on synthetic sense it was new. Appreciate any wisdom from those more experienced than I. Thanks.
