aftermarket center console/arm rest

hey guys, does anyone know where you can purchase a new stock replacement center console/arm rest for a 95 ranger with 60/40 seats. most used ones are trashed. tired of looking. just buy new and be done with it.

So you are trying to replace the piece of the middle seat that folds down into an arm rest? You say center console, and then 60/40 bench seat, so Im not really sure...?

yes, the part that folds down into an arm rest. i call it a console too because you can put junk in it. sorry for not being clear.

They are tough to find complete and in good shape, that is for sure. Ebay has people selling non-broken lids for 100 bucks, let alone an entire console/armrest. Let me know what you find. I'm about to just fabricate a lid from some stainless sheet metal, get some closed cell foam and upholster the damn thing with some scrap fabric from the fabric store. I could literally build myself one that would look new for less than I would pay for a crappy lid on ebay.

My lid was broken when I bought my truck, I just cut a piece of scrap plywood to size and covered it with the foam and fabric from the original. It was tricky getting the hinge bent right and putting the lock catch on but it works and still looks nice

The problem is the age.

Not sure if the newer one will swap out.

Start measuring the one you have, mounting points to include bolt up and overall size and start searching the newer trucks and see if you can find a newer unit that fits your truck.
Then try to order the newer unit, that should be a little easier.
There are always newer unit for sale by members here and in other Ranger Forums.
