After rebuilding my LSD I decided to have some fun...

I realized after I posted it the video may not work...

I drove into the deep puddle you see over the hood of the truck in the first picture; about 3 inches past door sill depth and hit the bank on the other side. I believe my vacuum hub disconnected because it didn't want to climb over the hill (acted like it was in 2 wheel, or my bumper was just hitting that much of the bank) and the 4x4 was out after I backed back out of the water hole (then reset my vacuum hub)

I need to have him email me the video (he took it with his phone) My other buddy that had is Land Rover down there with me's camera ****ed up and didn't get a second copy of the video :( That video cuts out after 8 seconds of me trying once more (then he got a text and it stopped recording) He managed to record me backing out of the hole successfully though.

Hey did that help the performance of your L/S I was thinking about doing that to my 8.8 before I put it in just because. So I was curious if it was worth the effort.

Hell yeah it helped! I'm not sure about off-road capabilities however but when two of the 6 clutches (3 per side) are broke on one side anything is going to be a benefit.

I initially took it apart cause my pinion seal was leaking and just used the clutches from my drag car rear I had laying around cause I'll be driving the truck this winter.

I think it ran me about $50 for the fluid, all of the seals, permatex and LSD additive. It's nice to have both tires grab again when I drop first gear and it drifts around right hand turns again :headbang:

P.S. I really gotta get some of my rainy night drifts on video. Definitely going to try to get a few 4x4 drifts this winter on video too!!

I don't think you did a good enough job.

Only 1/3 of the truck is dirty. :icon_rofl:

That was from my buddy being stuck in his Land Rover and not having a locking center diff so the front tire was just spinning and caked me!! I had the center window open at the time too... My dash and radio are filled with mud!!
