After market sunroof

So I've seen many older Toyotas and Nissans with sun roofs before. I would like to install in on my 89. I don't care for full sliding back to open but just pop up or even completely removing it would be cool. Has anyone done this or seen anyone that has?

I posted in another thread but I plan on doing one:

I plan on going with a likely a C.R Laurence Newport 14x32" pop up sunroof. Seems to get good reviews on everything I've read for the autoport/newport line.

Seems pretty simple as far as install goes and parts seem to be readily available.

Might pick up an extra seal just in case but overall it seems to be a decent cheap mod to do. I just want more light. Being a single cab I don't want an electric sun roof. I have an overhead console and found pictures of someone that has both. looks really good to me.

I've seen some pictures on google and there are a couple pictures I could find with sunroof rangers... all seem decent looking.

Is the panel made of glass or plastic?

One other thing, is there a way to get total shade when you don't want the sun shining in?

Panel is made of pretty dark UV glass. It's about the same shade tint as factory rear slider window.

I ended up installing it. Came out wonderful!
