AFR 165 Heads For A 302HO

Thanks for the info. I'm pretty excited. Everyone had good things to say about TFS. I did read about guys having problems blowing the head gaskets TFS recommend to us. Have you had any problems?

I had problems with head gaskets on my old motor but was caused by the block the deck was not flat didnt find it until after i had the new motor was in have had no problems with this block almost 30k on it now. Be sure to use a good head gasket and new head bolts or studs.

The ones with 30k on them are tfs mls part# (tfs 51494030 040 ) at summit. They would be overkill with a stock bottomend.

The Felpro 1011-2 are the ones I ordered with the heads.

I hope they improved those since I used em 6 years ago. Blew gaskets with two sets with my Canfield heads. When I built my 331 using the same heads I went with the O.E. expanded graphite gaskets and sprayed the crap out of em with Koppercote. Ain't touched em since I built it 6 years ago.

Koppercote....that sounds like a really good idea to improve the life of a gasket:icon_thumby:. Do you know if you can use Koppercote on any OEM style head gasket?

:dunno: But it works on the expanded graphite ones.
