Aerostar 4X4

thats awesome, looks like the boogey van, my mom used to have three different aerostars, every one die of trans problems., not lifted of course. about the door, what if you bring the track out from the body alittle more? or you could be the first with lambo doors on an aerostar

The A4LD's are nothing to brag about but better than anything offered in a front wheel drive minivan, plus it's no big deal to change one. RB

hmmm maybe we could start a communal truck like we talked about earlier today.

I don't know about that, you haven't seen the way chuck drives his LOL!!

i have my fun and have other vehicles to drive so all i have to do is make it home and i am in the clear. james the b2 is already a community vehicle i dont give a shit who beats on it (within reason). i mean you cant be any harder on it than i am, well, and keep the tires on the ground.

What year is the rear axle, and what year is the aerostar? i can cross reference the two sensors at work one day in the wiring diagrams to see if the two function the same, then i can tell you whether or not the sensor may work.

It's a 93 Aerostar and the axle is a 91 F150 2WD 8.8. Thanks RB

I am also excited to see this completed. I think it would make a great truck of the month!

Wow...just read over this, my mom had just acquired a 93 Eddie Bauer 4X4 aerostar about 2 months ago, I joked with her bout interchanging t-cases with her explorer(so it'd have 4low) and lifting it for an off-road maching (it won't happen) but cool work with your aerostar project.

The irony. :icon_rofl: :taunt:

It gets better. So when we end up on our side she's in my lap. So i ask her if she's ok, then ask her if she had her seatbelt on and she says yes. Then I asked her if she had her seatbelt on how is it that she's in my lap. She must not have thought that one out very well, because she wasn't sure what to say. RB

Lifting a E4WD Aero would be tough if not almost impossible without a kit. I would never discourage someone from trying tho. RB

I finished up the brakes on the rear axle tonight. The rubber hose on the axle wasn't long enough so I put one of these extention lines on it from autozone.

I also run new hard lines and had to buy new Caliper bolts as i had Rock rashed the old ones. Tomorrow night I'm building skid plates for the T case and gas tank. RB

The guy that's building my front bumper came over to take a look last night. We decided that because I can't really bring him my van and work on it at the same time that he would use the stock front bumper for a template so off it came.
