hi guys im a new member, im replacing the cats on my 87 II. I was wondering what aftermarket cats do you guys suggest? thanks:icon_cheers:

I would try the local pound, I'm sure they have a bunch. :icon_confused:

I always use dynomax. They are cheap and made with stainless.

No cats just mufflers :D if its the emissions tests, here if the vehichle is over 25 years old you dont need testing.

anyone else? i goin to also put a new muffler on too any suggestions?

also if i get a new cat do i only need one? mine had a pre cat and a post

All federal offenses aside that is. I mean it's only $5000 per missing unit if you get caught. Not to mention that the cats remove the most toxic by-products of running the engine.

I prefer to get direct fit, but they are expensive. If you are going to go universal you don't need a 2 bed cat, just a three way.

i dont wanna sound dumb but wtf is a three way?

They are high quality; and they come in four varieties but you only want the one with two female flanges and one male. You may have to ask around because they are hard to find sometimes.
