i have a 2001 3.0 ranger. it is 4x4 and the 3.0 is a strong motor but i want something that has more power and potential! i know if i put a 4.0 i will need to put and transmission to but i just need to know what else im going to run into that i am going to have to change.wire harness, fuel lines, pcm, trans?? any information on this woul be a great help.

It is really too much of what You are going to need to transfer along with the 4.0
Wire harness, computer, fuel lines, vaccum hoses, radiator. If your motor ain't broke don't fix it.
Buy a Cortex reprogrammer. It's less than $400.00 and is worth every penny.
1.7 ratio roller rockers from a 5.0 and the throttle body from a 3.0 Duratec engine.
Do this all at the same time and You be well surprized.
