I'm thinking about buying their 302 headers for my 87 ranger. Will they give me any more hp? I'm going to be running summit alum racing heads and I'm not sure of the carb yet. Motor will be freshly rebuilt also. I've read every thread I found containing their part # 717044a, 717044NP. None had anything on hp gains and neither did their add on advanced.

If you got manifolds and replace them with headers you will see a gain if your air fuel mixture is right. Since you are changing heads and I assume the cam then you will gain more then if you used headers on a stock motor. Free flowing exhaust is important also.

I'm planning on goin with a high flow intake and a 4 barrel carb. I plan on making it super quiet but have one of those Y's that dumps the exhaust before the muff to make it free flow so I can make the ricers cry when they get whooped! But I'm bonna use it for mild wheeling too. So I would hate to have long headers get smashed on rocks and be use less
