What's the worst that could happen?
Not complaining mind you, but I am now seeing adds everywhere. Have they always been there and I just didn't notice or did something change?
Thanks,
randall

Ads are always there unless you pay to be a "supporting member". If you have paid or renewed and are still seeing ads, we'll have Jim check into it. Sometimes PayPal and the site software don't talk nicely to each other.

I think I see the issue. I was a supporting member at $10 -PayPal issued that amount on the 14th. I see now that it is $15. I'll figure it out and issue a correction.
Thanks.

What a pain that was ...
You paid $15.00 USD and set up a subscription
to 959 Media LLC

Thanks again.

@Jim Oaks

We have a supporting member renewal...

Thanks T, but no worries.

Yeah, your supporting member banner is gone. For what it's worth, some browsers offer an ad blocker addon so that you don't see advertisements on a lot of sites, including youtube. It might be worth your time to look into that. They are usually free.

I have to look to see what you did. Older subscriptions were $10 (Actually when I started this back around 2005/2006 they were $20). I think a year ago I upped them to $15 ($10 doesn't go very far these days). But if you already had a subscription, it renews at $10. New subscriptions are $15. So I need to look and see if you paid $10 and $15.

@rumblecloud I looked and found where you paid the $10 on the 14th and then created a new subscription and paid $15 on the 19th. I refunded the $15 and fixed your member status.

Thank you Jim, but that really wasn't necessary.
I have learned so much and made many hew friends....I tried to be clear that I wasn't upset or anything at all.
It's 25 -- I appreciate it, I really do.

Take care.

@Jim Oaks

Not sure how long it's been happening, but I'm now seeing ads in threads, and my supporting member status seems to still be active. Not getting it in the main forum, just in threads. Usually just after the first post

Even this thread is victim to it, though I'm almost tempted to follow this one.

Yes, I know. I had to change some things adding the 'Similar threads' and 'Advanced search' add-ons. I have to go in and code it to not show the ad template to the Supporting Members usergroup. Give me a day to fix it. Sorry for the inconvenience.

@JoshT or any other Supporting Member, did this fix it??

I'm still seeing some. Went to 5 different threads.
Well that's weird. I added myself to the Supporting Member group and they went away.

Ugh.....

I bet I have to modify every template. I bet if you switch to the White with Black they go away.

I've been up all night. I didn't want to work on the forum during the day while it was busy. I'll fix this after I take a nap.
