Hey ho...

Do you guys use promoter before bedlining valances or fender flares? I got a textured 04-06 valance that I want to bedline, but I am not sure if I need it. I also have my stock fender flares that I want to line.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I would clean it with alcohol and make sure it's good and warm (garage + electric heater) before bedlining. Maybe scuff it up a little?

ok, that sounds like a plan... i mean i could always reapply, but the bumper is new (textured) so i hsouldnt have to do much to them.

The flares are painted so maybe I'll scuff 'em up a little bit.

Thanks

Adhesion promoter is not required but recommended since it assures a good bond.

A good roughing up with some 80 grit paper, and cleaning with methanol, or similar chemical, is all you need.
