Adding oil to M5OD

I am to the point of adding the ATF to the M5OD that I replaced the 44E with. Can I pour the atf down the hole where the shifter mounts? I will have to crawl under the truck to open up the fill hole but it sure would be easier to fill from the top, rather than lying under it with a hand pump
 
Yes, you can. Much easier that way
