My credo
What's the worst that could happen?
For all you veterans out there, this is eezy-peezy --- I hate electrical things so this is a major endeavor for me.
Been collecting things for a bit to add lamps to my 94. Picked up the brackets from a TRS member last December. Got a switch from a 95 off eBay. Since the wiring is already there (94 Splash - I know they (Ford) only have one harness - maybe 2), I dint think it would be a big deal. So far I'm right.
The valance I can get from a number places as well as the lights - ($30 and $90 respectively). They'll be ordered shortly...in the meantime...
I've been playing with the switch wiring, comparing the 94 to the 95. Coloring is different, but it seems simple. So far I get the switch to light up. Since I don't have the actual lights yet, I won't know for sure, but so far, I think I'm ok. I'm almost thinking this is too dumb to post, but then I remembered this is TRS.... thank you:yahoo:

See if you are getting 12 volts at the fog light connectors.

Nope. Not getting 12. Will be playing with wires later.

Is the relay installed?

Thanks for your response. However, you oughtta be taking it easy instead dickin' with my stupid issue.
Yes, Relay is there.. I have an extra.
The original wiring has been there hanging out since 94, so I am not surprised. And of course I may have my hodgepodge wiring at the switch crossed up.

Functionality is simple I guess. They only receive power when ignition is on and low beams are powered. They go off when high beams are activated. The light in the switch comes on when the ignition is on and low beams are activated. Depressing the fog lamp switch at that point changes nothing - as far as voltage to the outlet plug goes (if that makes any sense. Not having the fog lamps to actually see what's going doesn't help either.

I am getting millivolts(?) at the outlet plug - nowhere near 12V though. I'll keep playin with it later.

Take it easy. and thanks again.
