89 325ix, the ix is the all wheel drive model :)

theres a difference between 4wd and awd :icon_thumby:

cool looking car though...ive always liked that body style (though, i know nothing about beemers). i used to have a slot car that looked a lot like that.

nice plate too.

I just put 4wd in the title to throw you guys off a little :)

It is awd, with a viscous center coupling that splits torque 37% front and 63% rear. handles AMAZING. A little different than the lifted truck's I am used to, and knocks the socks off the 87 Monte Carlo SS I used to own!

haha nice license plate. my friend has an 84 325e that he turbo'ed, stock L/S rear.

no offense meant, i wouldnt mind an ix for a daily or for a winter car, but for a car i wanted to modify-- if i was to go bmw, it would HAVE to be RWD.

i have an awd impreza for a daily and its fun in the snow and stuff, but it takes a bit of effort to get tail happy on dry pavement with such little power!

nice car!:icon_thumby: i work at a BMW dealership, and let me tell you those AWD's do pretty damn good in the snow even with street performance tires on.

Hrm, I didn't know they made AWD beamers.

ya they do, if you ever look at the rear and its says "xi" its all wheel drive, if its an "i" then its rear wheel drive. For example a 2008 335xi is a 3.5 liter straight 6 twin turbo AWD.

if im not mistaken, i though all inlines engines were single turbo and V's could be either twin or single turbo.

i traded my 2000 audi a4 in for my current ranger. i loved the car and it handle like a champ. engine was goin bad so i got rid of it. i love awd cars. nice car btw. have fun with it.:icon_hornsup:

well BMW inline six cylinder engines(if they come with the turbo set up) are twin turbo. BMW doesnt make a single turbo setup. The only V engines they make are the V8's found in some 5-series, 7-series, and X5's and the new M3's and V10's which are found in the M5 and M6 and are naturally aspirated. Making about 500 horse. :woot:

There is the exception though the the Alpina B7 which is a supercharged V8 pushing out also 500 horse:headbang:
