Add-A-Leaf Install - PLEASE HELP!!!

I am in the middle of putting an AAL on my truck and i cannot figure this out. I have the fabtech ft202 kit. The new leaf spring is too long to fit on the the bottom (it is the shortest) because of the spring clamp that is toward the rear of the truck. Does anyone recall how to take that off? I am hoping i can finish this for the weekend. And also it says to put the longest end of the leaf toward the shackle, I am assuming it means the one close to the rear bumper?

Cut the spring clamp off with a grinder.

Yes, longest end towards the bumper.

Thanks, I ended up cutting them off and getting new ones at autozone. I have the driver's side done and am almost half way on the passenger side. I'm finishing it tomorrow as long as everything goes smoothly.
Will post pics when I'm done.
