I need to replace an ABS sensor on my right front. I have located the sensor and removed the bolt, but it doesn't move. Do I need to remove the disc/hub to get to it?

Thanks

I have same issue on my '96 4x4

HELP.. In the middle of this now..

I am replacing the front axle shaft u-joints and cannot get the ABS sensor off. The service manual is no help. I took the bolt out from the rear of the sensor and now it looks like I have to take the "protective" block off the front to get the sensor and spindle out. I do not see what is holding it all together now unless its years of RUST

After looking at pitures I tool (not allowed to post here), am I seeing a small (if so, what size)12 point bolt head that might be holding the "protective" block on??

It is simply rust and corrosion that is holding the sensor in there.

yup mine came out with a little pulling when i installed my spindles. it was just a lot of gunk and rust in there
