Ok...so im getting things put together for bolting up and i started looking at my steering pump and my alternator...i cant tell if it goes here or there...I thought the pump...actually i dont know what i thought....Alternator i believe mounts on passenger side...steering pump goes on driver side...but how and where?

Any one have a frontal picture?

PLLEEAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEE :icon_confused:

Damn this is pissing me off....SORRY GUYS!

HOLY CRAP...it really cant be this hard...I have a Vbelt set up...ill take pics of what i got tomorrow...

In the mean time all thehelp in the world would be much appriciated. i want to keep Power steering.

it would make all the difference in the world if we knew what engine and application it came from. Otherwise we'd be shooting in a darkened room just as you are.

I need the same 2 mounts for my setup, P/S bracket and Alt bracket and adjuster bracket.. for a 79' T-Bird 302, anyone know the part# I can use that will work with the v6 ranger p/s and alt?? I looked at the V8 conversion swap part numbers on JD but cant find them anywhere online!! (sorry for jackin this post too btw, but seeing as though were in the same boat..)

Your PS pump is the same as most other Ford setups, that will be no problem.
You'll need an Alternator that mount the standard way.
The only bracket I'm aware of that fits the Ranger bolt style is the Explorer, but it's a short bracket, to use it, you'll need an entire Ex front setup. (timing chain cover, water pump, DS bracket and PS bracket) Then it needs to modded slightly to clear a distributor.

I used an 130amp Alt off a Taurus ('93?). Plugged right in to the Ranger. I had one off a Mark VII LSC, but it was huge (8" between bolt holes) and had an external regulator.

Yes it can with the v-belt, there are so many variations with the different options to maintain pulley alignment. You got A-C?

No ac.....

i have a 1970 ish 302 motor....and as far as i know i have the right brackets...it was hooked up once before i got it...it was just in alot of pieces...So if i could get a few pictures of other peoples set ups i might be able to eye it and figure it out....

HOPEFULLY!

Sorry i didnt get enough info for yah all.........AJ
