Well i was driving my truck today, 94 4.0 2wd auto, and when i would punch it/floor it, it would accelerate but then get to a point and almost stop accelerating. It sounded like i was hitting a rev limiter, but i wasnt RPMs were at max 3k. But when i roll the gas on it seems fine. So i thought maby some ass hat put something in my muffler so when i got home i got under the truck and check, nope nothing there. So i talked to my dad and he said maby i was the fuel filter, so i went and got a new one, put it in (the old one didnt look like it was even to dirty) and that didnt do it. My air filter looks clean, not super clean, but it not horrible.

My plan is to check the plugs tomorrow morning and see what they look like.

Anyone ever had this problem? Its very frustrating to say the least

Check the volts on the Throttle Position Sensor it might be your culprit... that or the mass air or a numerous amount of other things... but TPS is the first thing i would check

I pulled the mas air flow and started the truck, it ran like crap. So im thinking its not that.

Ok pulled my plugs, they all seemed to be burning right, but some of the electrodes seemed worn down so im gonna replace them later today.

change the plugs......do you have a cel on . Does your cel come on when the key is in the run position.............I am with your Dad I wonder if you should do a fuel pressure test?.........pul the vacuum line off your fuel pressure gauge and see if there is any hint of gas on it. You dont want gas in the line because that means your diagram inside is wearing out

Well put new plugs in. Nothing changed. So i was driving the truck around with my friend and he was thinking that maby it was the trans giving me the issues, he had a 97 mustang and was saying it gave him similar problems. Then when we came to a stop in a parking lot he got out and listened to it while i gave it a little bit of gas while in drive, and said he heard a noise coming from the bell housing area, so maby it could be the TC? This noise has probably been going on for 2-3 weeks, but i thought something had come loose / not tightened all the way cuz around 2-3 weeks ago we pulled the fenders off to paint some stuff.
