Hi guys,
I'm setting up gears in my Dana 44 and need a little guidance. I tried adding and subtracting pinion shim while keeping my backlash within the 0.006-0.008" range and so far this seems to be my best pattern. Is it ok that the pattern is high on the coast side? Thanks!

From every thing I’ve seen, that is considered acceptable. Not ideal but acceptable.

I would drive it.

If it's a front axle I'd call it a day and run it, if it's a rear axle I'd try to get the coast side closer to the toe... but either way it's really not bad.

After doing a Dana the 9" is going to seem too easy.
