Ok, I just put a different carburetor on my 84 B2 yesterday and got it somewhat adjusted, well to the point where I can drive it around to better fine tune adjust it. However the screw that holds the accelerator cable came out at some point so I put another screw in, problem I'm having is the accelerator will just randomly stick, or seems like it is stuck and I have wide open throttle, but I can tap the accelerator pedal and it goes back to normal. WTF is causing this, I never once had this issue with the other carburetor.

Other than this it runs rough, but I'm guessing is just due to me not having the carb dialed in right yet.

Have a buddy run the pedal while look under the hood to see what it is hanging on. May be just the cable itself needs replacing too.

Kind of what I'm thinking, weird that it just decided to do this now, been driving it just fine for several months with the other carb, then again the other carb wasn't exactly installed the right way either, so the new one may just have tighter linkages that's now showing other issues.

So I messed around with it this morning in better light at home so I could use my trouble light and search around, up under the dash by the accelerator pedal arm there was some insulation/carpet pieces up in there that apparently when I disconnected everything from the old carburetor and then rerouted the cable it got wedged in there so when you would press on the pedal it would cause the pedal to get stuck. Problem solved.
