AC help

I have 7 cans. Surely it wouldn’t eat up that many?

I *think* that 2 cans should do it. You'll need the original charge spec then go by the weight of the cans (most were 12 oz.?).

See if yours still has the AC spec sticker on the evaporator housing, as seen here on a '90 model:

i don't mess around with those r-xxx refrigerants anymore when i am doing ac conversions or repairs. i go straight to using propane. i have done bmws, jeeps and some s-10 trucks and the propane works great.

i read all about the worry of blowing up from using propane and i always laugh at the comments since you are already riding around on an 18 gallon suitcase of explosive fluid all the time, what is another two small cannisters of propane going to add the explosion
