Hi I have a 1995 Ranger Splash with a 4.0/5 speed 4 wheel drive. The speedometer was bouncing and making a slight noise. Also the abs and parking brake light are on. So I replaced the abs sensor in rear diff. speedo. cable and vss sensor. It still bouncing and lights are still on. Any ideas on what to try next? Thanks.

What about the speed / ABS sensors on the front wheels? Are the cables still hooked up and intact? The sensors which are attached to cables run about $60 each and can be vulnerable if you seriously off road it. The connector is in the forward part of the fenderwell next to the connector for fog lamps.

Thanks

Thanks I'll check it out. I do not know, it is still making a sound in the speedometer. I thought it might be the speedo. head. But why would the abs and brake light be on?

Check your brake fluid level.....when low it will illuminate both the park brake light and abs light.

It was low

You were right it was low on brake fluid. I am planing on doing a complete brake job including flushing the fluid. Thanks for the help
