abs problem

I have a 1991 ranger that was 2.9 automatic 4x4. I just got thru changing it over to a 4.0 five speed from a doner 1991 ranger 4x4. everything was all plug in wiring harness and all from doner truck. My problem is now i have a abs light on which i did not have on before in my truck. But the donor truck did have the abs light on in it. Ihave tried to retrieve the codes from the system by grounding the abs diagnostic connecter for two seconds with ignition on but system will not flash any codes any suggestion would be appreciated.

The fault carried over with the harness so I would have to say the problem is within it somewhere.
