ABS light question

so my ABS light just came on after I washed my truck and I have no idea why. I didn't even think my truck had ABS. I took it for a test run and the brakes actually seemed to be working fine. What should I do?

When the ABS light is on, the ABS is disabled and you will notice no difference in braking, other than not having ABS.

Your truck could have 4wheel abs or just rear wheel abs. Check for wires going to the front knuckles (no wires = RABS)

I would check all connections to start with. Might just be a coincidence and you had a sensor go bad on you.

i just went back to my truck and truned it on so i could move it so i could check it out ( i thought it could just be a blocked sensor) and the light turned off. so i guess the system is ok?

The info you gave indicates an exposed wire shorted when you washed your truck. It dried out and the short was gone.

The ABS should work correctly now.
